Kagadi
Residents in Kagadi district have been advised to always follow up their cases in court if they do not want them to be dismissed for lack of interest in prosecution.
Ruteraho made the call on Thursday during a radio talk show on the mighty Paradigm FM.
She said in some incidences, police fulfill their duty of apprehending theft suspects and prosecuting them to court, but to her disappointment, they are later released and cases dismissed after residents failing to follow-up these cases in court.
Ruteraho emphasizes the importance of following up cases and producing evidence against the suspects in court for timely justice.

In another development, the Kagadi district Assistant RDC Francis Behangana warned money lenders against holding National Identity Cards as collateral for loans.
He has declared operations against money lenders confiscating National Identify Cards.
Recently, President Yoweri Museveni issued a strong warning to money lenders against the practice of taking national IDs as loan security.
Despite this directive, some unscrupulous lenders have continued to violate the presidential order, depriving borrowers of their essential identification documents.
