Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), mobilizers in Kagadi District are set to launch an endorsement drive for General Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s reported presidential bid for 2031.
Speaking to Paradigm FM on Wednesday afternoon, PLU chief mobilizer in Kagadi, Jocious Tukamukwasiibwe, said the exercise will start at 9 a.m. Thursday, at Kagadi Freedom Tree.
He said endorsement books will be introduced in Buyaga West and Buyaga East constituencies, where residents who support the initiative will register their names.
Tukamukwasiibwe said an online registration platform will also be introduced for people who want to register as Muhoozi Kainerugaba supporters.
He added that after the launch, the endorsement books will be distributed to sub-counties, with each sub-county given one week to conduct the registration.
Residents wishing to register have been asked to carry their National Identification Cards.
Tukamukwasiibwe has also called on PLU supporters and those backing Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s 2031 presidential bid to attend the launch in large numbers.
He has further encouraged residents to tune in to Paradigm FM’s leadership programme, where PLU mobilizers are expected to explain the endorsement exercise and their mobilization activities.
