President Yoweri Museven has promised to meet Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom leadership and Butebengwa bwa Bugungu leaders over requests from the latter for autonomy.
The call for the autonomy of the Bagungu from Bunyoro Kingdom was made to president Yoweri Museven by the Buliisa district Lc5 chairperson Fred Lukumu who sought the president’s intervention into the matter claiming a number of issues that their people are aspiring for in their autonomy.
President Museven was in Buliisa district during his assessment of the Parish Development Modal program in Bunyoro sub-region.

In Hoima, President Yoweri Museven directed the ministry of water and environment to develop a homestead water supply for production model.
The president’s directive follows feedback from a number of PDM beneficiaries whose projects need sustainable water supply to grow more.
President Museven says homestead water supply for production is the game changer from communal water source.
He was addressing residents at the David Irumba keywood Group Demonstration farm in Hoima City.
