The Buyaga East MP Eric Musana has urged parents to be vigilant and protect their children during the long holiday season.
He made the call while officiating at the fundraising ceremony held at Bwaranda SDA church in Nyabutanzi Sub-County Kagadi district.
Musana notes that children often get spoiled and join bad peer groups during these breaks, young girls often get early pregnancies which can affect their education.
He emphasizes the need for parents to tighten security and supervision, given that the December holidays are one of the longest academic breaks.
Additionally, MP Musana urged parents to guide their children in using the holiday productively. He asked parents to teach their children practical skills and engage them in domestic work.
Meanwhile, the legislator also tipped farmers on post harvest handling to improve quality of harvested food and access a better market for agricultural products.
MP Musana supported the church construction with 1M Shillings cash.
