The Buyaga East Member of Parliament Eric Musana urged Christians in Kagadi district to form saccos if they are to benefit from government programs.
He made the call on Sunday 6 Oct,2024 while officiating at a fund raising ceremony organized by the youth at Mbogwa catholic church,Kahunde parish Hoima catholic diocese.
Musana said selfishness and working in isolation does not lead to development.
He urged Christians to work together and embrace a saving culture in order to eradicate poverty from their homes.
“I encourage you to form saccos, adopt a saving culture if you’re to enhance your household incomes and benefit from the govt programs,”MP Musana told Christians.
The legislator further asked Christians to increase vigilance against conmen to avoid losing their money and property to fraud stars.
Musana noted that conmen have penetrated all sectors targeting to fraud innocent Ugandans of their hard-earned income, emphasizing vigilance to avoid losses.
“Avoid conmen, they are stealing people and making unfulfilled pledges in places of worship, please ignore them”,MP Musana warned.
Musana supported the church construction project with 600,000 shillings cash.
Meanwhile, The Buyaga East MP Eric Musana also cautioned Christians in Kagadi district to always avoid sectarian tendencies for the continuous development of their areas.
The legislator made the call on Sunday 6,Oct,2024 at the commissioning of St.Burono Kyebisoha catholic sub-parish in Kabamba Sub-County Kagadi district.
Musana said at the time he came into politics, the district had been torn apart by religious and tribal conflicts, which he has succeeded to address through his visionary leadership of unity and service delivery.
“Before I came to politics,Buyaga East had been torn apart by tribal conflicts, but now we have peace,I managed to unite warring religions and tribes, those people have now brought their sons to disorganize us after losing the battle, Please don’t be deceived, trash their propaganda”,Musana emphasized.
Referring to President Museveni’s message of unity, Musana said for a society to develop, it requires a diverse of ethnic groups who bring in new ideas for economic growth, asserting that development does not segregate in tribes, religion and age.
The legislator advised the electorate in Buyaga East constituency not to rally behind politicians who are promoting divisionism and tribalism for self gains.
Musana contributed 500,000 shillings cash to support development projects at the newly commissioned St.Burono Kyebisoha catholic sub-parish in Kabamba Sub-County.
