Katikengeye Archdeaconry has today 12th Jan,2025 awarded prizes to over 30 Christians in recognition of their tremendous support towards the development of the church projects using electronic merchant code.

The gifted Christians had supported the church with tithe ranging from 20,000shillings up to 2 M shillings for the last six months.

They received gifts such as TV Screens, goats, blankets, mattresses, bed sheets, hoes, basins, and other home utensils.

Speaking as a chief guest at St. Andrews church of Uganda Parish this afternoon, Joab Mugume the director Sweet Bread Bakery Kagadi commended the archdeaconry for recognizing its hardworking and supportive Christians.

He urged Christians that received gifts such as hoes to use them well in fostering development in their communities. Joab donated a uniform to the church youth choir after he was impressed by their performing skills.

The archdeacon Katikengeye archdeaconry Ven.Rev.Capt.Wilson Atuhiire said the ceremony of rewarding Christians with part of their tithe is organized every after six months.

He says the collected funds are used to support church projects.

During service, the church also promoted children of 12-16 years from Sunday school to the youth category.
