In a bid to promote environmental conservation and beautification of the town, Kagadi Town Council authorities have launched a tree planting exercise and the initiative aims to transform Kagadi Town into a clean and modal urban center.
The tree planting exercise which kicked on Monday at Kagadi town council offices targets various locations within the town council including public spaces, roadsides, and school compounds.
According to Geoffrey Businge, the Kagadi town council Lc3 chairperson, the tree planting exercise is a key strategy of the town council’s broader initiative of promoting environmental conservation and community development.

Meanwhile the principal Town Clerk Kagadi town council John Isingoma called on residents to play a crucial role in protecting the newly planted trees.
He warns residents against grazing their animals on town streets to save the newly planted trees from destruction.
The Town Clerk warns that if the trees are not protected, they risk being destroyed by roaming animals explaining that this would not only undermine the town’s beautification efforts but also waste the resources invested in the tree planting exercise.
