Kagadi

The retiring archdeacon of Kagadi archdeaconry Rev Canon. Theo Irumba will on Sunday December 29, bid farewell to Christians at St.Luke’s COU Parish as he retires from active church service.

 Rev.Canon Irumba has served the church for 42 years and as Kagadi archdeacon for 5 years.

He heads for retirement after clocking 65 years the mandatory retirement age in the church of Uganda.

In his farewell message aired via Paradigm FM, Rev.Canon.Irumba urged the Christians in Kagasdi to remain united and steadfast in transforming their area.

He urges the Kagadi residents to shun religious and political divisionism, emphasizing unity and togetherness for the development of the district.

Additionally, Rev.Canon.Irumba commends the people of Kagadi, district leaders,MPs, security teams and the media for their good working relationship and support during his time of service.

Rev.Canon.Theo Irumba officially hands over to his successor Rev.Canon.Francis Mugisa, the Bunyoro Kitara diocesan secretary who takes over as the new Kagadi archdeacon on 7 January, 2025.
