Kagadi Central “A” Women’s FC fromKagadi town council has emerged the winner of Acaali Female foot ball tournament for Kagadi Zone, Buyaga East constituency,Kagadi district.
The 13 teams under Kagadi Zone participated and matches were hosted at St.Martha P/S play ground and Ihura P/S ground in Kagadi Sub-County.
The finals between Kagadi Central A and Kanyangomaended in a goal less draw pushing the two teams to penalties.
In the penalty shoot outs,Kagadi Central A from Kagadi town council held Kanyangomato 4-2 goals,emerging champions.
Announcing the results at St. Martha P/S play ground,referee Mary Joyce commended the spectators and the players for maintaining peace.

The Buyaga East legislator EricMusana in his remarks highlighted that the tournament is aiming at sensitizing the community to foster girl child education and reduce school dropout rates.
The legislator highlighted that the constituency is steadilymoving citing the establishment of many developments such as electricity, piped water projects, schools,health servicesamong others.

Meanwhile, Gerald Kirungi,the Kagadi district football Association chairperson explained that the tournament will pave a way for the district to get a Female football club.

All the 13 teams that participated received 500.000 shillings each from MP Eric Musana and the champion for Kagadi Zone gets a fifty seater tent.
An overall winner for the constituency will be gifted with a hundred seater tent with plastic chairs.
