Drama unfolded in Kyakabadima Sub-County in Kagadi District on Tuesday morning when one of the truck turn men was bathed by his colleagues after he attended their weekly Sacco meeting dirty.
The victim has been identified as only Patrick a defense secretary for the village savings group where all turn men and truck drivers from Kyakabadima Sub-County are members.
The turn men accused their colleague for breaching their sacco guidelines on sanitation and hygiene. He attended the sacco meeting donning in dirty clothes and after allegedly spending weeks without bathing.
Jackson Turyamureba one of the sacco members reported that the victim had been emitting a foul odor and were receiving numerous complaints from clients due to the latter’s refusal to bathe.
In the Tuesday’s meeting, Patrick’s colleagues decided to purchase items such as soap and water and cleaned him up to improve his appearance.
The turn men have called upon their fellows in the transport sector including Boda boda riders to maintain proper hygiene to gain respect and enhance their professional image.
