Kibaale
Christians in Kibaale District yesterday flocked to churches as they joined the rest of the world to celebrate Christmas commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Clergy in different churches we visited across Kibaale District have used the day to urge Christians to reflect on their faith, help the needy, love each other and avoid using Christmas to commit sins.
At Bujuni Catholic Parish Church in Kibaale Town Council, the Christmas Prayers were led by Rev Fr. Charles Asaba who urged Christians to always practice patience and embrace the true meaning of Christmas.
He also expresses concern over alcohol addiction and drug abuse among the young generation, asking parents to take charge.

At St. Lukes’ Kikangahara Archdeaconry in Kibaale town council, the Archdeacon Ven. Rev. George Hope Kiiza has called upon people to live by the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit to intercede for them in all situations.
He also advises Christians to have faith in God, appreciate God for his goodness and provision.

Christians in Kakumiro district have been urged to obey government laws as a means of preventing unnecessary crimes.
The call was made on Christmas day by Rev.Canon. Godfrey Buuro, the Archdeacon of Kisiita Archdeaconry, during the Christmas celebration service at All Saints Church of Uganda in Kisiita Town Council, Kakumiro District.
Canon Buuro advises youth to work hard and remain humble within their communities to achieve success.

Meanwhile, at St.Peter’s Cathedral Duhaga, Hoima City the Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese Rt. Rev. Jacob Ateirweho Amooti advised Christians to welcome the birth of Jesus Christ in order to have peace in their lives.
Bishop Jacob says Jesus is the prince of peace and that He can bring peace in homes if they embrace Him.
