The residents of Karambi and Rwensene villages from Bwikara and Mpeefu Sub-Counties respectively have jointly lauded the Buyaga West aspiring candidate Dr.Johnson Habasa for repairing their boreholes.

The fore mentioned areas lacked a water source forcing residents to share dirty water sources with animals, putting their lives at risk.

William Ategeka the Lc1 chairperson for Kalambi Lc1 in Bwikara Sub-County and Geofrey Bareke, the chairperson for Rwensenene village in Mpeefu Sub-County expressed excitement about the repairing of the boreholes, saying this is a big relief to the locals who have been trekking long distances in search of clean water.

Residents have also applauded Dr.Johnson Habasa for supporting them to get clean water and promised him support in the forthcoming elections.

In his remarks, Dr.Johnson Habasa emphasized the importance of increasing access to clean water in community development.

He said lack of access to clean water increases disease outbreaks and residents spend the money that would be invested in income generating activities on treatment in health facilities.
