The Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese Rt Rev. Jacob Ateirweho has confirmed 70 Christians into the Anglican Faith on Thursday 30th Jan 2025
at St.Peter’s Ruteete COU parish in Ruteete town council, Kagadi district.
In his homily, Bishop Ateirweho urged the newly confirmed Christians to uphold ethical teachings and values of Christianity in their communities.
Meanwhile Bishop Ateirweho also asked Christians to exercise good deeds and have respect for one another in their matrimonial homes to establish strong family institutions.

At the ceremony, the East African Legislative Assembly(EALA) Member of Parliament who is also aspiring on Buyaga West Mp Seat ,Denis Namara rallied all NRM members to actively embrace the ongoing party membership register update exercise.
He also condemned corruption in the distribution of Parish Development Modal program funds where beneficiaries have suffered extortion before getting funds.
He supported the church with 1.5 million UG shillings.
