Kagadi
A number of elders from different sub-counties in Kagadi district have started a five day digital literacy training at Kagadi town council hall in Kagadi district.
The digital training is being implemented by future technologies Uganda limited in collaboration with the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).
Paul Jonathan from Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) said that the program aims at introducing digital knowledge to all Ugandans including the elderly.
He adds that the older persons are receiving a free training on the use of digital machines such as phones, computers and electronic business transactions, to reduce challenges they face in the digital world.

Speaking to Paradigm FM, Yoweri Kirungi, the councilor for the elderly for Kagadi town council, thanked the government for extending ICT training to the older persons.
Kirungi appealed to the elders to keep supporting the NRM government and President Museveni for good governance.
