Kagadi
The Episcopal vicar Kagadi vicariate Msgr. Peter Kabelenge has unveiled that all parishes under the vicariate will begin making annual pilgrimage to Sioni shrine in Ruteete Sub-County starting 11th January, 2025 in a broader strategy of the diocese to promote local pilgrimage sites.
The vicariate comprises of nine parishes including Mugalike, Kahunde, Muhorro, Kagadi, Kinyarugonjo, Bwikara, Burora , Rugashari and Mpeefu.
Christians started thronging to Sioni shrine for pilgrimage after the apparition of Mother Mary at the site on 11th January 1974.
In his address to Christians during the Christmas carols concert at Kagadi St. Mary’s parish last evening Msgr. Kabelenge said holding annual pilgrimage at Sion shrine will cause significant spiritual healing and bring other blessings to the lives of Christians.

Meanwhile the Dean Kagadi vicariate and parish priest for Kahunde catholic parish Rev. Fr. John Bosco Ruboija asked Christians to support church choirs, highlighting their role of spreading evangelism and other significant messages to the public through Christian hymns.
