Kagadi district local government has launched the construction of an 18 kilometer Muhorro-Nyambeho- Nyamacumu- Mambugu road that will cost 70M shillings.
The launching exercise was presided over by Kagadi RDC Lillian Ruteraho and held at Kabuga trading center in Muhorro sub-county last evening Saturday 21st Dec 2024 evening.
Ruteraho urged residents to use the road for economic gains, ralling them to embrace commercial agriculture to increase food production and improve their homestead incomes.
She further urged locals to increase vigilance this festive season and do not spend their finances only in Christmas festivities but also save for school fees as next academic year approaches. Insert………Ruteraho on the launch
Charles Byaruhanga the supretendant of works says of the 18 kilometers set for rehabilitation, only six will be filled with murrum.
He however says if residents support the project and voluntarily supply murrum, they will make spot murruming on more kilometers and the rehabilitation works will last for three weeks.

The Kagadi district Lc5 chairman Yosia Ndibwami reechoed the same sentiments asking local leaders to mobilize residents and supply murrum to improve the standard of the road.
He appeals to residents to ensure regular maintenance of the road through community service drives.
Ndibwami further warned road users against over speeding, encouraging proper use to minimize accidents.

Meanwhile, residents have welcomed the project, commending the district leadership for rehabilitating the road which they say has been in a poor state.
