Kagadi

A total of 86 Christians have been confirmed into the Anglican faith at St. Luke’s Church of Uganda, Kagadi Parish in Kagadi Archdeaconry.

The confirmation service was led by the Bishop of Bunyoro-Kitara Diocese, Rt. Rev. Jacob Ateirweho Amooti.

In his message, Bishop Ateirweho urged the newly confirmed Christians to remain faithful to the teachings they have received and to put them into practice in their daily lives. He also called upon parents to raise their children in the church, emphasizing the importance of spiritual growth from a young age.

The Bishop further appealed for unity among Christians and encouraged them to work hard towards socio-economic development within their communities.

Also in attendance was the LCIII Chairperson of Kagadi Town Council, William Kasaija, who thanked the Bishop for delivering a message centered on socio-economic transformation. He also requested the Bishop to pray for the smooth administration and development of what he described as the new Kagadi Town Council.

Meanwhile, the Assistant Head of Laity for Bunyoro-Kitara Diocese, Ms. Alice Kabasana, expressed gratitude to the Bishop for his pastoral visit and for confirming the new Christians into the Anglican faith.

The newly confirmed Christians thanked God for enabling them to reach this important milestone. They also appreciated their parents and church leaders, especially their lay reader, for preparing them for confirmation. They pledged to put into practice all that they had been taught in order to honor God and serve the Church faithfully.
