Rev.Fr.John Baptist Kisembo of Kagadi St. Mary’s catholic parish has called on Christians to wholeheartedly embrace prayer, fasting, and alms-giving as essential pillars of spiritual renewal throughout the Lenten season.
During the Ash Wednesday Holy mass at Kagadi St.Mary’s parish in Kagadi town council, Fr.Kisembo urged the faithful to view Ash Wednesday as a time for self-reflection, repentance and deepening their relationship with God.
He underscores the significance of prayer, self-reflection, and acts of charity during this sacred period, emphasising that through alms-giving, Christians are reminded to care for those in need.
Rev.Fr. Kisembo urges Christians to abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday and all the Fridays during Lent and donate the money they would use to buy meat to the needy.

The Archdeacon of Kagadi archdeaconry Ven.Rev.Canon.Francis Mugisa has asked Christians to embrace prayer, fasting, and charity during this Lenten season.
He was animating Ash Wednesday service at St.Luke’s COU Kagadi parish in Kagadi town council Kagadi district.
Ven.Rev. Canon.Mugisa has called on Christians to support the needy, the sick and inmates this Lenten period to attract rewards from God.
