The Magistrate’s Court in Kagadi town council, Kagadi district has remanded a-25-year old man to Mambugu government prison on charges of defilement.
The accused is Byamukama Businge a resident of Ruswiiga Lc1, Nyamiti ward in Muhorro town council.
Court presided over by chief magistrate Magret Nazifa heard that, the accused while in Ruswiiga Lc1, defiled a-14-year-old minor of the same residence.
The suspect was not allowed to take plea, and instead sent back to remand in Mambugu government prison as the charges against him are capital in nature and can only be tried by the High Court. He was remanded till 12th March,2026.
