Kagadi
Youth have been urged to deepen their faith in Jesus Christ and live righteous lives as they navigate their future.
The call was made on Sunday by Charlotte Amanyire, who was the main preacher at St. Luke’s Church of Uganda Kagadi parish, during celebrations to mark Youth Day, observed on the last weekend of the month.
Amanyire emphasized that growing in Christ requires a transformation in one’s way of life, guided by God’s commandments.
She explained that true spiritual growth is not determined by how long one has been praying, but by a visible change in behavior and commitment to living according to Christian values.
The youth leader, Diplot Katwesige, used the occasion to announce the launch of a master plan for a youth complex project at St. Luke’s Church.
Katwesige revealed that the project will include a service bay, washing bay, restaurant, and salon, all aimed at empowering young people economically.
He called upon well-wishers and the community to support the initiative, noting that it will greatly benefit the youth.
Meanwhile, the Vicar of St. Luke’s COU Kagadi parish,Rev. Eric Irumba, appealed to all well-wishers to support the youth initiative, describing it as a step that will benefit the wider community.
He noted that the project is expected to create employment opportunities for more than 50 young people in Kagadi District.
