With the festive days drawing nearer, the LCI Chairperson of Ibambura in Bwamiramira Sub County, Biingi Aheebwa in conjunction with concerned residents have nabbed 2 men red-handedly with stolen goats.

The suspects are Joseph Bamutulaki aged 47, reported to be a resident in Mubende and Joshua Ampumuza aged 19 from Kasambya in Kakumiro District.

The duo is reported to have been laborers hired by Makulu Byaruhanga, of Ibambura village.

The suspects stole the goats of Sebastian Kyamanywa Kyozaire a resident of Ngangi A in Kibaale town council.

Kyamanywa says they mounted a search for the goats until they landed on blood spots indicating that the suspects had slaughtered the goats.

On interrogation, Ampumuza confessed that he opted to steal and sell the goat’s meat to raise money for Christmas; however, the second suspect Joseph Bamutulaki says he was influenced by Ampumuza.

Joseph Ayesiga, the OC Kibaale Police Station says the suspects are currently detained at Kibaale Police, warning of arrests of individuals who intend to disrupt people’s peace during the festive days.
