Kagadi
Three candidates have been shortlisted for the position of Kagadi District NRM Administrative Secretary following an interview exercise held at the party offices in Kagadi Town Council.
The candidates are Jimmy Semakula, a former youth chairperson for Greater Kibaale District; Medius Alinaitwe; and Emmanuel Turanzomwe, a former Kagadi District Youth Chairperson.
Initially, 29 applicants expressed interest in the position, but only 18 qualified for the shortlist after meeting the minimum requirements.
The interviews have been conducted by the District NRM Executive Committee, which selected the three candidates for further consideration.
Kagadi District NRM Chairperson Karungi Elukana Mpoza says the names will be forwarded to the NRM Secretariat in Kampala, which will select the successful candidate to fill the vacant position.
Mpoza says the interview process was free and transparent, adding that no applicant was asked to pay money to participate.
He has thanked all those who took part in the exercise and expressed optimism that the national secretariat would complete the vetting process soon.
Mpoza added that the district party leadership is ready to work with whoever will be selected by the National Secretariat from the three candidates.
Meanwhile, some of the applicants, including Alinaitwe Medius and Alinaitwe Derrick, expressed satisfaction with the interview process, describing it as successful and saying they are hopeful about the outcome.
