Kyenjojo
Thousands of pilgrims from different parts of the country on Monday 27th Jan,2025, thronged Uganda Martyrs catholic shrine in Katoosa Kyenjojo district to commemorate and seek the intercession of St.Adolf Tibeyarirwa.
Tibeyarirwa born of Myeri Katoosa catholic parish in the present Kyenjojo district was the only Ugandan martyr who was from the Tooro region.
Bisozi catholic parish led this year’s pilgrimage at the catholic shrine in Katoosa, Kyenjojo.
The mass that was attended by various pilgrims from different walks of life was led by the Archbishop of Mbarara archdiocese His Grace Lambert Bainomugisha.
The main celebrant His Grace .Lambert Bainomugisha asked believers to leave as silent martyrs and ensure honoring blood of saints to thrive in their Christian faith.

Meanwhile Rt. Rev Vincent Kirabo Bishop of Hoima catholic diocese asked Christians to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He further urged parents to embark on their responsibilities in nurturing responsible children.

Rt.Rev.Robert Muhiirwa the bishop of Fort Portal diocese thanked pilgrims for turning up in big numbers to celebrate the day.He urged Christians to strengthen their faith in Christ and always take lessons of strong beliefs from the Uganda martyrs.
He noted that over 37,200 pilgrims attended the celebrations.

Faith Kunihira the Kyenjojo district woman Member of Parliament delivered the deputy speaker’s apologies for not officiating at the function due to abrupt journey to the United States of America, challenging Christians to emulate martyrs’ faith and resilience.
