Parents of Rwendahi P/S in Ruteete Sub-County Kagadi district have been urged to prioritize education of their children in a bid to nurture a future generation that is empowered to bring a positive impact to the society.

The call was made this afternoon by Rev.Fr.PatrickMugisa the director of education KagadiSt.Mary’s parish while animating mass at the speech day and closure of third term at Rwendahi P/S in Ruteete Sub-County.

Rev.Fr.Mugisanotes thatan educated child greatly contributes to the development of the church, community and the country at large.

He asked parents to venture into commercial agriculture citing coffee and cocoa farming to generate more income for supporting children’s education especially in tertiary institution.

Fr.Mugisa further implores children to observe discipline during the long vacation and return to school safely next year 2025.

In her speech, the school headteacher Evas Mushabe decried challenges of scarcity of water, shortages of classroom structures, asking for quick government intervention to address the problem.

To mitigate challenges of classroom shortages,Mushabe says the school has partnered with the community to mobilize resources and build more structures in supplementing government efforts of infrastructure development.

The District Education Officer (DEO) Kagadi represented by inspector of schools Alinda Julius Mpigiza asked parents to start self help projects and develop their school especially its infrastructure.

He however promised that government has allocated funds for construction of two classroom blocks at Rwendahi P/S and works will start next year. Insert……insert…………………………..Julius on classroom blocks
