Owobusobozi Bisaka, the leader of the Faith of Unity, has received the Global Peace and Unity Recognition Award from the Canada NRM Chapter in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the promotion of peace, unity, social harmony, and human development.

The award was presented during a special day of worship held at Kapyemi Headquarters on June 22, 2026.

While presenting the award, Stephen Buyinza, the East Africa Coordinator of the Canada NRM Chapter, praised Owobusobozi Bisaka for his efforts in uniting people across different denominations and promoting healing, discipline, hard work, and peaceful coexistence.

Buyinza said the chapter chose to recognize Owobusobozi Bisaka because of his remarkable role in healing people spiritually and physically, as well as his contribution towards ending fear and divisions that once affected communities in Bunyoro and other parts of western Uganda. He noted that since the establishment of the Faith of Unity, messages of reconciliation, healing, and unity have increasingly become part of national discourse.

In his remarks, Owobusobozi Bisaka thanked the Canada NRM Chapter for the recognition. He said the award was not only a personal achievement but also a testament to all believers of the Faith of Unity who continue to embrace the values of hard work, unity, and economic transformation.

He emphasized that promoting unity and development contributes positively to the image and progress of Uganda.

Meanwhile, Kagadi District Woman Member of Parliament, Margaret Naziwa Lujumba, who attended the function, commended Owobusobozi Bisaka for consistently preaching messages that encourage unity, hard work, and social transformation among his followers.

She pledged her continued support to the Faith of Unity and prayed for blessings from Omukama Ruhanga throughout her leadership tenure.
