The Kyenjojo district woman Member of Parliament hopeful Margaret Nyakato has joined forces with the residents of Batarika and Bufunjo sub-counties to repair the broken bridges to improve connectivity and transport activities.
On Saturday residents of Batarika and Bufunjo Sub-Counties joined hands and fixed Kahompo Bridge that links the two administrative units.
Residents have experienced challenges in transporting agricultural produce to markets due to the bridge’s condition.
The Batarika Sub-County Lc3 chairman Elias Mujuni has condemned Kyenjojo district leaders for delaying to fulfill the pledges they committed in the last campaigns to improve the road net work.
He has asked government’s intervention in constructing a permanent bridge, asserting that the improvised wood materials used will not last for long.

Counsel Jonathan Ngabirano the political mobiliser for Margret Nyakato asked residents to vote for the visionary leaders who would extend services to their areas.
He asked people to use their democratic power of the vote to make right choices to promote development in their respective areas.
