A section of moblizers of the Patriotic League of Uganda(PLU) from Kagadi district have also endorsed president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the 2026 elections after their principal Gen.Muhoozi Kainerugaba dropped his presidential ambitions in a post on X formally twitter.
The UPDF Chief of defense Forces and first son Gen.Muhoozi Kainerugaba recently endorsed president Yoweri Museveni for presidency in the 2026 elections, rallying all PLU supporters to join NRM party.
In an interview with Paradigm FM,last evening, Josious Tumukwasibwe the PLU chief Mobliser for Kagadi district says will continue fronting the agenda and mission of the PLU formation despite paying allegiance to the NRM party and supporting president Museven in the next elections.
He says the youth need a peaceful transition of power, asserting that they are working on the modalities to register PLU into a political party to pave way for Gen.Muhoozi to capture power democratically, asking supporters to remain calm.
Tumukwasibwe says they are now opening up more offices and electing PLU district executives across the country to expand its support and membership, stressing that they are not shaken by Gen.Muhoozi’s decision of dropping his presidential ambitions.
In his remarks, Yusufu Tembo, the PLU foot soldier urges fellow supporters to enhance their mobilization and organize more meetings towards the success of their political formation.
