Musicians in Kagadi district under their association ‘’Team no stress group’’ are asking government to support their SACCO so that they can enhance their household incomes.
The group’s chairperson Abigaba Eria alias MC Simple on Sunday 23rd March, 2026, said their savings group was launched on March 11, 2026 and every member contributes a weekly saving of 11,000 shillings.
He says members will start investments in commercial agriculture such as poultry and goat rearing to improve their wellbeing.
Abigaba appeals for financial support from government to boost their SACCO income, saying they supported President Yoweri Museveni in the last elections, secured win but they are yet to be rewarded.
Meanwhile, other association members including Patrick Mugabi aka Zero plus Zero and Yasin Businge alias BYK da Star are rallying fellow musicians to join their sacco and benefit from government programs.
They said President Yoweri Museveni has allocated funds to the performing artists but only musicians united in Saccos will benefit from the fund.
