Kagadi

The Hoima Catholic Diocese education department, in collaboration with the Kagadi local Government education department, have organized a workshop for upper primary teachers at Kagadi Model Primary School in Kagadi town council.

On Monday the workshop focused at equipping teachers with skills to implement the new curriculum, focusing on improving learner performance.

The workshop, was attended by four teachers from every school representing the four core subjects, as part of efforts to enhance teacher capacity and improve academic performance

Nyakato Catherine, the coordinator Hoima Catholic Diocese education department who was the main facilitator, emphasized the need for teachers to develop competencies in specific subjects to boost performance in primary schools.

She urged teachers to share the acquired knowledge with colleagues who have not managed to attend, stressing the importance of collaboration in enhancing education quality in the district.

Mathias Kyarigonza, the mobilizer for the Hoima Catholic Diocese education department in Kagadi, says the workshop reflects the commitment of the Hoima Catholic Diocese and Kagadi Local Government to improve education standards in the district.

He praised the teachers for their participation and asked them to transfer the knowledge gained into communities and learners at school.

Beatrice Mbabazi the acting District Education Officer for Kagadi applauded the education department of Hoima Catholic Diocese for organizing the workshop.

She also thanked the facilitators of the workshop for being co-operative and challenged the participants to apply the acquired knowledge during conducting of class lessons.
