Christians in Kagadi district have been cautioned against associating with witchcraft, a practice which jeopardizes their faith and eternal life.
The call was made on Sunday by the archdeacon of Katikengeye archdeaconry Ven.Rev.Capt.Wilson Atuhaire during his pastoral visit at St.Paul’s Rushoroza COU Parish in Kyaterekera town council, Kagadi district.
He said that he was shocked during his pastoral visits to families within Katikengeye archdeaconry when he found that a big number of Christians still believe in witchcraft as source of wealth.
Capt.Atuhaire added that because of believing in witchcraft practice, some Christians go as far as envying other people’s progress in businesses, property and promotion and work for their downfall.
He urged Christians not to turn away from their faith despite facing challenges in their life time.
Capt.Atuhaire also asked married couples to have respect and love for one another to reduce cases of domestic violence in their homes.
