The Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs Dr. Mercy Faith Lakisa has commended Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka for promoting an integrated socio-economic model that has improved the livelihoods of believers in the faith.
The minister made the remarks over the weekend during a visit to the Faith Unity Headquarters in Kapyemi, Muhorro Town Council where she was welcomed by Owobusobozi Bisaka and later joined Faith of Unity-Itambiro believers for prayers.
Minister Lakisa said the activities at Kapyemi support government priorities, particularly in agriculture, vocational training, education and health.
The minister praised the community for promoting commercial agriculture, including the growing of high-value crops, which she said could provide better incomes.
Meanwhile Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka thanked the minister for the courtesy visit and also commended President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the NRM government for maintaining peace and security and allowing freedom of worship, which he said has enabled the Faith of Unity to promote unity among people.
