Kagadi
Kagadi stakeholders have welcomed the proposed Kagadi Urban Development Plan Concept, describing it as an important initiative aimed at promoting the development and expansion of Kagadi Town.
The development plan was discussed on Friday during a stakeholders’ dialogue meeting organized by Kagadi Town Council and led by the LC3 Chairperson, William Kasaija Mugenyi, at the URDT-Africana Rural Complex Hall in Kagadi Town Council.
Residents who attended the dialogue said they had been sensitized about the new Kagadi development concept and had appreciated its importance in guiding the expansion and development of kagadi town.
Kasaija William Mugenyi appealed to residents to embrace and support the new urban development concept, urging them to cooperate with the town council when implementation begins.
He said the development of Kagadi town should be a collective responsibility, emphasizing that the plan is not meant for the benefit of individual leaders but for the entire community.
Meanwhile, Francis Aharimpisa Mutungyi, the Kagadi Physical Planner, commended stakeholders for their good turn-up, saying the dialogue had been successful.
Mutungyi said the meeting had achieved its objective of engaging residents and other stakeholders in laying a foundation for the development of the new Kagadi.
