Maj Martha Asiimwe, the head of the RDC Secretariat and Anti-Corruption Unit has warned government workers and political leaders against engaging in corruption and embezzlement of public funds.

Maj. Asiimwe issued the warning on Wednesday 18th March, 2026 during an accountability meeting at the Kagadi district council hall which brought together all the district heads of department, security heads, office of RDC, representatives of CSOs, Religious leaders, NRM party leaders and other opinion leaders.

Maj Asiimwe says corruption is an evil which is killing the country, denying locals of services adding that everyone needs to join the fight against it.

She urged the media to support government campaign to fight and expose corruption activities as a way of improving service delivery in their communities.

Maj Asiimwe says President Museveni has already initiated programs aimed at fighting poverty and enhancing service delivery saying there is need to ensure such funds meet their purpose.

She rallied locals to embrace President Yoweri Museven’s wealth creation campaign to improve their homestead incomes.      

Namanya Jeremy, Deputy RDC Kagadi says the  engagement aimed to assess the implementation of government programs in the district.

He praised Asiimwe’s visit and asked the community members to embrace the president’s message on wealth creation.
