Muslim leaders have announced that Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations will be conducted tomorrow Friday,20th March,2026 following failure to sight the new crescent moon on Wednesday evening as recommended under the Islamic teachings.

Eid-ul- Fitr climaxes the end of the fasting Month of Ramadan, Islamic holy month of fasting, prayer and reflection.

According to Sheikh Haji Muhammed Isingoma, the Kibaale Muslim district Kadhi, main prayers will start at 9.am at Kagadi town mosque. Elsewhere Muslims will also gather at their respective mosques for prayers.

Sheikh Isingoma also asked Muslims to faithfully honour their Zakat al-Fitr, a charitable obligation in Islam that must be paid by every self-supporting Muslim who has sufficient food for themselves and their dependents before the end of Ramadhan and before Eid prayers.

He says Zakat al-Fitr can be given in food or monetary equivalent to support the needy.

Sheik Isingoma has further urged Muslims to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr responsibly in accordance with Islamic faith principals.
