Kagadi district Education department with support from EDIFY Uganda have laid strategies to improve learners’ performance in primary schools.

Following the release of the 2025 Primary Leaving Exams(PLE) Results last month, on Tuesday 17th Kagadi district education department held a workshop for all head teachers of government aided and private schools to discuss interventions that would be implemented to improve performance.

The Kagadi district Inspector of schools Omukwenda Alinda asked participants to embrace the skills acquired from the workshop to improve the academic performance in the district.

He called on all stakeholders including parents, teachers, PTA chairpersons, School Management Committees and the community to join hands in improving the academic standards in the district.


Keith Atusinguza, the EDIFY Uganda coordinator for Bunyoro sub-region said the workshop focused on sensitizing school administrators on their roles.

He rallied educators to embrace trainings and programs of EDIFY Uganda to improve performance of their schools.

Meanwhile headteachers who attended the workshop including Richard Karitunsi of Kitebere P/S and Augustine Abwomugisha of Mugyenza P/S lauded EDIFY Uganda and Kagadi district education department for organizing the workshop. Theys said the gained skills will improve performance and develop local schools.
