The UPDF recruitment exercise in Kibaale District has been characterized by low turn up as 6 out of the 18 applicants shortlisted failed to turn-up for the interviews on Tuesday.
Stephen Byaruhanga Mfashigambo, the Kibaale Resident District Commissioner (RDC) told our reporter in an interview at the district headquarters that out of the 12 applicants who turned up for the interviews, 10 were male and 2 females.
Of these 2 are professionals whereas 10 were interviewed to join the regular army.

RDC Mfashingabo expressed frustration over the low turn up however calls upon parents to continue encouraging the youth to embrace serving the country and being patriotic by joining the armed forces.
