A-24-year-old mother from Igabiro Village in Kayanja Parish, Mairirwe Sub-County, Kagadi District, has given birth to triplets and is appealing for support to care for her newborn babies.

Grace Kyompaire gave birth to three baby girls on Sunday at around midday, with the help of a traditional birth attendant.

Speaking to Paradigm FM, Kyompaire said she is struggling to provide food and other basic needs for the babies.

She said she is raising the children alone after her husband left her when she was one month pregnant.

Kyompaire is appealing to well-wishers to support her during this difficult time.

Grace’s mother, Dinah Kyensierikora, said the family has faced many challenges since her daughter became pregnant.

She is appealing to the government and well-wishers to help the family meet the needs of the three babies.

Meanwhile, Enid Tiberinda, the traditional birth attendant who helped Grace deliver, said she assisted her because of the difficult situation she was in.

Tiberinda has also appealed for more support and equipment for traditional birth attendants working in villages.

Anyone willing to support Grace and her newborn triplets can contact her on 0790711447, in the names of Grace Kyompaire.
