Police in Kibaale District are holding an 18-year-old man, one Peter Musinguzi, a resident of Kitutu trading in Karama Sub County on allegations of forcing 3 fellow youth into homosexuality.

According to the victims, Musinguzi shifted from Kyogera Village and rented a room in Kitutu trading center in which he persuaded them to enter and sodomized them one-by-one on different days.

The victims including Karegyeya Sarasitini 18, Derick Maniriho 20, and Moses Abaho 18 all residents of Kyanyansimbi village in Karama Sub County told our reporter that Musinguzi reportedly sodomized them in a period of one week.

While at Kibaale Police Station, Musinguzi denies any wrongdoing, insisting that the allegations are baseless and framed to have him detained.

The Police confirms the detention of Musingizi but could not comment on the matter as investigations continue.

Homosexual acts are illegal in Uganda and anyone convicted faces life imprisonment.

The legislation imposes the death penalty for so-called aggravated cases, which include having gay sex with someone below the age of 18 or where someone is infected with a life-long illness including HIV.
