The Buyaga East MP Eric Musana has urged members of KisinsimaTukwatanise Catering Women’s group in Isunga Sub-County to keep united and aim at working for development.

The legislator made the call last evening while officiating at the fundraising ceremony that was organized to solicit funds for boosting the development of the Kisinsima women’s catering group in Kisinsima village Isunga Sub-County Kagadi district.

Musana asked the group members to embrace hard work and have self confidence to foster development of their association and improve their wellbeing.

The legislator supported the ceremony with 500,000shs cash in addition to over 2 million shillings previous support to the association.

In his remarks, the Isunga Sub-County Lc3 chairman Godfrey Kitone emphasized unity and commended the association’s resilience and continued progress despite the challenges faced.

Meanwhile presenting the association’s progress report, Oliver Mbabazi the group chairperson said they started in 2016 with only 2 sauce pans and 24 plates, but now they have managed to buy land, established a store with a total income capital of 56M shillings on their account.

She however highlights challenges such as theft and vandalism of their properties such as plates and plastic chairs at functions and defaulters that have constrained their operations.

The group gifted the legislator with a goat and bunch of Matooke for his endless support he has always given them.

The function fetched over 2.3M Shillings meant for the development of the catering group.
