Kibaale
Kibaale District Secretary for Finance and Administration and Nyamarunda Sub-county District Councillor, Phillips Bikora, is dead.
Bikora died on Monday in the afternoon hours, a few metres from Buseesa Trading Centre in Matale, after reportedly falling ill suddenly.
According to Dr Andrew Kasangaki, the Assistant In-Charge of Kibaale Health Centre IV, Bikora was picked up from a clinic in Bujogoro, Nyamarunda Sub-county, while unconscious.
He was referred to Mubende Regional Referral Hospital for a brain CT scan and further management, but died before reaching the hospital.
Bikora was also a popular commentator on national affairs and was frequently hosted by radio stations across the greater Kibaale area to discuss leadership and governance issues.
He was recently hosted on Paradigm FM during a leadership programme, where he shared his views on several issues concerning leadership and governance.
His death comes shortly after the death of his wife, leaving his family, colleagues and the wider Kibaale community mourning.
Bikora will be remembered for his advocacy for transparency, accountability and improved service delivery in Kibaale District.
