Kasaija William Mugenyi, also known as Bajwiga Bujwiga, officially sworn in as the duly elected Chairperson of Local Council Three for Kagadi Town Council.
The swearing-in ceremony held Monday at Kagadi Town Council, beginning with a church service.
The Kagadi Chief Administrative Officer, Pauline Opio Opodoi, presided over the swearing-in ceremony of the town chairperson and councillors.
She then called upon the LCIII Chairperson and councillors to take their oath of office.
The town councillors also took their oath of office during the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Kasaija William Mugenyi was officially handed the tools of office by the Town Clerk, Isingoma John.
The items handed over included office keys, keys to the chairman’s motorcycle, the official stamp, the Local Government Act, and the Constitution, among others.
Later, Mugenyi announced his new executive committee,they include Akonyera Benezeri as Vice Chairperson, Oliver Twikirize as Secretary for Works, Kiirya Johnson as Secretary for Social and Community Services, and Bamuturaki Charles as Secretary for Financial Planning and Administration.

Barora Robert officially sworn in as the duly elected Speaker of Kagadi Town Council for a new term in office.
During a council session held Monday, Kiirya Johnson moved a motion nominating Barora Robert for the position of Speaker of Kagadi Town Council.
Barora Robert, an independent candidate, went on to defeat Byabasaija Anatori in a closely contested election, securing 11 votes (57.9%) against 8 votes (42.1%).
Kagadisa Swahibu, who served as the returning officer during the election, announced Barora Robert as the winner after confirming that he had obtained the highest number of votes.
Meanwhile, Barora Robert was invited to take the oath of office as Speaker of Kagadi Town council.
After taking office, Speaker Barora Robert was given the opportunity to appoint a Deputy Speaker. Komubigo Eve was subsequently endorsed and fully accepted by the council as the Deputy Speaker of Kagadi Town Council.
