Kagadi
The Kagadi District Health Team is set to conduct a training workshop ahead of the mosquito net distribution exercise, which is scheduled to begin soon.
The training will take place today, Wednesday 20th, at the Kagadi District Headquarters.
Speaking last evening Tuesday, the District Disease Surveillance Officer, Prisca Kanyunyuzi, said the district expects four participants from each sub-county, including the Sub- County Chief and Health Assistant, among others.
She noted that after the training, the district will announce the official dates for the mosquito net distribution exercise. However, she added that a Ministry of Health circular indicates the exercise is expected to run between the 18th and 29th of this month.
Due to the Ebola outbreak, Kanyunyuzi emphasized that all standard operating procedures will be strictly observed during the mosquito net distribution exercise to prevent the spread of the virus.
She also used the opportunity to sensitize the public about Ebola prevention, urging residents to report any suspected Ebola cases in their communities to the responsible authorities immediately.
