Residents of Greater Ruteete have commended Paradigm FM’s “My Village Manifesto” programme, describing it as a unique initiative that has brought together all candidates contesting for LC1 positions across the area to present their manifestos directly to the electorate.
Speaking after the programme held on Friday in Ruteete town, residents and loyal listeners of Paradigm FM said the outreach was the first of its kind in the area.
They noted that it had given voters an opportunity to listen to each candidate’s plans and make informed decisions ahead of the elections.
The LC1 candidates also applauded Paradigm FM’s management for organizing the programme, saying many of them would not have afforded radio airtime to present their manifestos to the public.
They pledged to improve service delivery if elected, promising to work on road maintenance, improve access to health services, and resolve community disputes through local leadership before they escalate to the police.
The LCIII Chairperson of Ruteete Town Council, Wellen Bamwesigye, praised the “My Village Manifesto” programme, describing it as an important platform for promoting community development and good governance.
He appealed to Musana Eric, the Director of Paradigm FM, to sustain similar community programmes, especially in education, agriculture, and other sectors that directly benefit residents.
Meanwhile, Musana Eric, the Director of Paradigm FM and Chairperson of the Ensonga Team, said the initiative reflects the station’s vision of ushering in a new era of community-centered media.
He emphasized that Paradigm FM is committed to championing programmes that empower ordinary citizens and promote development.
Musana pledged that the station would continue organizing initiatives focusing on education, agriculture, and other community needs, assuring residents that Paradigm FM will remain a reliable partner in their development journey.
