Arsenal fans in Kagadi district have joined the rest in the world to celebrate the club’s historic premier league victory.
Supporters in Nankulabye Cell, Kagadi Town Council, organized a special “Nyama Choma” celebration scheduled to take place at Night Life Bar and Lodge.
Benard Byaruhanga the chairperson of the organizing committee in Nankurabye, said the function was organized to appreciate Arsenal’s resilience and successful campaign that saw them finish ahead of rivals Manchester City.
Byaruhanga added that even Manchester United fans had been invited “to witness history,” sparking excitement and laughter among football lovers in Kagadi Town Council.
He also assured residents that organizers will observe all Ebola prevention Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during the celebrations.
Speaking to Paradigm FM, several Arsenal supporters, including businessman and proprietor John Nankulabye, called upon fellow fans to continue supporting the club ahead of the incoming UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) next week.
Arsenal fans’ celebrations will continue up-to Monday 24th, at Kanyasi pub in Kagadi Town, where supporters have reportedly raised millions of shillings to organize a mega victory party.
The celebrations will begin with a procession around Kagadi Town featuring a brass band and a convoy of vehicles in the afternoon before fans proceed to the main event later in the evening.
