 Kagadi

The Member of Parliament for Buyaga East, Eric Musana, has challenged Christians to live by the teachings they profess, emphasizing the importance of aligning words with actions.

Musana made the remarks on Saturday while presiding over a baptism ceremony at Kagadi Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church in Kagadi Town Council.

In his address, the legislator expressed concern that many Christians and leaders often preach values they fail to uphold in their daily lives. He noted that messages of peace, unity, and righteousness are frequently shared in public, yet contradicted through actions.

He says It is common to find people preaching the gospel of peace and unity, but when situations test them, they act contrary to those very teachings. Musana says Some openly proclaim the word of God, yet are involved in acts that disrupt harmony within communities.

Musana extended his message beyond the church, pointing out that the same challenge affects political leaders and other influential members of society. He stressed that credibility and trust can only be built when individuals consistently practise what they advocate.

He therefore called upon all responsible citizens, regardless of their roles, to ensure that their actions reflect their words, urging them to lead by example in promoting peace and unity.
