MP Musana maintains won the recently concluded election

The Buyaga East Member of Parliament Eric Musana has maintained he won the recently concluded 2026 elections but lost his victory to the self-seekers imposing themselves on the constituents.

He lost to Twesige Steven Rurekere, the NRM flagbearer.

However, MP Musana rejects the outcome of the recently concluded elections, citing massive irregularities and violence that marred the electoral exercise.

Addressing the media, Musana expressed dissatisfaction with the results, citing electoral irregularities and a lack of transparency by some EC officials.

He also rejected the outcome, alleging that the election was marred with ballot staffing, voter bribery, multiple voting, participation of non-registered voters in the exercise, altering of declaration forms, gross threats of agents among other malpractices.

Musana says ten of his supporters, lost their lives during the election violence.

He however maintains that despite the election loss, justice will prevail as plans are underway to petition in both public and judicature courts.

Musana therefore urged his supporters to remain calm as he is in consultations to seek justice from government and court to declare his victory.
