Kagadi
The newly elected Local council three chairpersons in Kagadi district have listed their priorities for the next political term 2026-2031.
Kasaija William Mugenyi the Kagadi town council Lc3 chairperson elect, Wellen Bamwesigye for Ruteete town council and Augustine Kacimbiri for Kabamba Sub-County, shared their development vision for their areas of jurisdiction next term.
Kasaija William Mugenyi, has shared his vision for the new Kagadi town development concept- the development agenda 2026-2050.
Mugenyi says residents of Kagadi town council will gain from his strategic and visionary leadership.
He elaborates that successful implementation of the new Kagadi town development concept, will see the urban centre elevated to the Municipal status in 2030 and City in 2045.
Mugenyi says will extend the central business area to two(2Km) radius to create enough space for the development and expansion of the town, advocate for fair taxation policies and accountability leadership, develop road infrastructure, electricity extension, schools start new markets, health facility, support household income growth, and establish inclusive leadership.
He thanked the people of Kagadi for the support and pledges to serve to their expectations in implementing a service delivery-centred manifesto.

On his part, Wellen Bamwesigye who has been re-elected Lc3 chairperson Ruteete town council on NRM ticket has also listed his priorities next term.
He has promised to prioritise road infrastructure, open up new streets, and improve other social service sectors.
Bamwesigye urges the community to resume their income generating activities to enhance their household incomes now that the political period has come to its climax.

Meanwhile Augustine Kacimbiri also the chairperson elect for Kabamba Sub-County has also lauded his supporters and promised to improve service delivery and drive development in the area next term.
