At least 19 people have died and 13 others were injured in a devastating road crash involving a Fuso Fighter truck along the Hoima-Bulisa Road on Tuesday night.

The accident occurred at around 11pm in Kigorobya Sub-county, Hoima District, when the truck—registration number UBB 639W—overturned while transporting market vendors from Wanseko-Buliisa Market.

According to preliminary investigations by police in the Albertine Region, the truck failed to ascend a hill at Kigorobya, rolled backward, and overturned, killing 19 people on the spot.
