The Buyaga East Member of Parliament Eric Musana urged the electorate to promote peace and unity ahead of the 2025/26 elections in which most political parties are currently engaged in a number of election activities.

The legislator made the call on Tuesday 17th June,2025  addressing Muslims at Kagadi town mosque at a ceremony to celebrate the successful return of Kibaale Muslim district Khadi, Haji Isingoma Muhammed from Mecca to perform the Hajj.

Hajj is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, and every physically and financially able Muslim is required to make the pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime. The Hajj takes place in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, during the month of Dhu al-Hijjah in the Islamic calendar.

At the ceremony,Musana asked the voters to embrace peaceful political engagements to facilitate a conducive environment where every citizen would exercise his or her political rights in voting for one’s favorite candidates.

He said as elections draw nearer and election fever keeps rising, all Ugandans need to maintain peace and refrain from violent acts which he says can frustrate development programs in their communities and democratic electoral processes.

MP Musana rallied for support from the constituents in the forthcoming elections emphasizing that his next term will focus on building upon previous achievements.
