The office of the RDC Kagadi has organised a reconciliation meeting with all the leaders at all levels after the elections.
The meeting held at the RDC’s office on Tuesday April,7th ,2026 attracted all the incoming and outgoing leaders.
These included the leadership at LC5 level and district councillors, LC3 chairpersons and councillors, district security including the DISO and DPC, Presidential advisers among other stakeholders.
In her remarks RDC Caroline Nanshemeza emphasised peace and security calling upon all the leaders in the district (both incoming and outgoing) at various positions to put side all the political grievances and work together for the development of the district.
The RDC reported some grievances where the Lc3 chairman is not in good terms with the councillors or councillors having political differences
She asks the leaders to now return to development and service delivery rather than fighting each other since the election period ended.

Despite her reconciliation appeals, the RDC herself was recently caught on camera where she said the people of Kagadi did bad for not voting Ndibwami B Yosia something that has sparked contradictions with the Chairman elect Ellygard Tumusime.
Paradigm Fm has reached out to Ellygard who says the RDC’s statement was out of control expressing dismay.
When asked whether he has reconciled with the RDC Ellygard notes he is still thinking about it although having no problem with her.

Patrick Zikanshagyiza the presidential advisor has advised all the leaders at all levels in Kagadi district local government to prioritise peace other than fighting each other.
